About Mrs. Clayton-Long

  • Ms. Clayton Deborah is very thankful and happy to be teaching Art at Gorman Christian Academy for her eleventh year. She grew up on a farm in Rougemont, attended Mangum Elementary and Northern High School. Early in her career, she attended Alamance Tech and received an Associate Degree in Commercial Art. Deborah holds an ACSI Teacher Certification. After years of working in drafting, she decided to go back to College and earn her degree in Art. Deborah graduated in 2004 from North Carolina Central University with a B.A. in Fine Arts and in 2005 received her licensure in Art Education. She has three grown daughters who live in the area. Deborah is a member of Living Word Baptist Church and believes in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She desires to be a witness for Christ and feels blessed to be serving in the ministry at Gorman.
