The Gorman Christian Academy Athletics Program serves as a valuable platform for students to grow not only as athletes but also as individuals of faith. Starting in 5th grade, students have the opportunity to join a variety of athletic teams, including boys and girls basketball, cross country, co-ed golf, and girls volleyball. As a proud member of the Triangle Middle School Conference, GCA competes with both public and private schools across Durham and Wake County.
Our dedicated coaches focus on teaching the essential skills of each sport while also instilling the importance of teamwork and effective time management. This holistic approach ensures that our student-athletes can balance their academic responsibilities while excelling in their athletic pursuits. At GCA, we uphold high standards of conduct and academic performance for our athletes.
Our coaches strive to cultivate strong, supportive relationships with their student-athletes, acting as positive role models and mentors both during competitions and beyond. We recognize that participation in athletics is not just about physical achievement; it's also an opportunity for personal growth and character development. We are committed to creating an encouraging environment that allows our student-athletes to thrive spiritually, academically, and athletically.
